Dr. Masullo, what are the main differences between the FUE technique and the FUT?
With the traditional method Follicolar Unit Transplantation (FUT) a lozenge of scalp is taken, called strip, from the donor area which is then sutured. Founded at the end of the 1990s, FUE is a decidedly less invasive method that involves the direct removal of individual follicular units, which are then re-implanted in the area of the scalp that is intended to be thickened.
What advantages does this minimally invasive method offer?
