Female intimate cosmetic surgery is a recent achievement of cosmetic surgery. Nevertheless, the requests for interventions increase each year: more and more women require, in fact, surgery to improve the aesthetics of the genital area. Dr. Veneroso, what is the Labioplasty surgery?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is the most popular female cosmetic surgery in Italy, and consists in the reduction of small vaginal lips where they appear relaxed, increased in volume or asymmetrical. Most women experience this problem with a profound sense of embarrassment and sometimes can experience discomfort during some sporting activities and \/ or sexual intercourse.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nIs this a painful intervention?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Postoperative pain is generally absent or very limited, and however easily managed with mild pain-relieving therapy. The procedure is carried out under local anesthesia with sedation, lasts about 30-40 minutes and allows a full return to normal occupations already the day after the operation. Sexual activity can be resumed after about 4 weeks. The costs are rather limited, being a rapid procedure, to be carried out as a day hospital.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
