It was the year 2024 when, during the celebrations for its centenary, Alsa Fratelli Pezzali Srl—an established company from the Milan area—merged by incorporation with another deeply rooted local business, Prodotti Secur Srl. From this union emerged Alsa Prosecur Srl, an industrial and cultural synthesis of two companies founded in Milan by visionary and forward-thinking entrepreneurs who made family management, quality, and safety their mission.
Two different yet deeply aligned histories, united by an industrial journey that begins with the cold processing of steel strip—a raw material that, through specialized expertise, is transformed into a seal: a small metal component capable of ensuring integrity, traceability, and trust. It is from these values that Andrea Mussi, owner and sole director of the new Alsa Prosecur Srl, speaks, guiding the evolution of two industrial legacies now brought together under a single identity.

Mr. Mussi, Alsa Prosecur was born from the merger of two historic companies. Can you tell us their story?
Founded in 1924, Alsa Pezzali is a century-old company born from an idea that was as simple as it was revolutionary: while studying a machine for printing food sacks, it became clear that the real innovation lay not in the printing itself, but in the seal—the key element to ensure that contents could travel and reach their destination intact, tamper-proof, and free from contamination. Thanks to a strong innovation-driven industrial vision, Alsa Pezzali gradually specialized in the production of metal seals for the food sector, becoming a benchmark for marking cured hams, dairy products, flour, pasta, and baked goods, while also expanding over time into the textile sector and integrated logistics.
A few years later, in 1937, in Sesto San Giovanni—then the beating heart of Lombardy’s industry—Prodotti Secur was founded. In a time of profound economic and social transformation, its founders identified product security as the strategic value on which to build the future. The company quickly developed in the industrial packaging sector, designing and manufacturing seals, strapping machines, and closure systems, alongside a full range of accessories for manual packaging, eventually becoming a true one-stop shop for resellers and end users.
Today, Alsa Prosecur represents the natural convergence of these two industrial experiences, united by a clear and shared mission: providing tangible guarantees to customers. The new company operates from a larger, modern facility in Sesto San Giovanni, ready to support new projects and promote the value of Made in Italy worldwide.

What is the common thread that brought these two experiences together?
The desire to provide guarantees to customers. Our seals may appear to be simple metal components, but they are essential to ensuring that a product remains intact throughout its journey. We are talking about safety, but also trust and traceability—issues that are currently central across all sectors.
What sets Alsa Prosecur apart from other players in the market today?
The fact that we do not offer a standard seal. Our true added value lies in customization. Each seal can carry identifying information about both the producer and the product, as well as the client’s name or logo. In the food sector, for example, we can indicate the start date of processing, the producer, or the batch number—information that enables complete and immediate traceability while strengthening brand recognition.
Is customization also a communication tool?
Absolutely. A customized seal becomes an integral part of a brand’s identity. It is not just a technical element, but also a visibility and marketing tool capable of conveying attention to detail, quality, and the producer’s reliability.
How does technological innovation fit into this path?
For over 18 months, we have been working on a smart iron seal project using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, which can be applied directly to a ham leg and read via smartphone. It is a complex experiment, as the seal must withstand all curing and processing stages. Once completed, it will be proposed to ham consortia as a new standard for digital traceability.

Can tradition and sustainability coexist?
They must coexist. We use recycled and recyclable materials and have implemented procedures and processes that allow us to monitor environmental impact, ensure clear governance, and promote inclusive social policies, with particular attention to gender equality. This journey has led us to obtain ESG Silver certification and subsequently ESG Gold, also thanks to completing the second phase of our carbon footprint program.
In conclusion, what is Alsa Prosecur today?
Alsa Prosecur is a concrete example of how a historic company can evolve without losing its identity. It is the synthesis of tradition and innovation, of steel and traceability, of safety and customization. We do not offer a standard seal, but a seal that tells the story of the product, the producer, and the brand. In a world that increasingly demands attention to detail and safety, our answer is clear: uncompromising security, proudly Made in Italy.
