In a sector where rapid response, technological innovation, and coordination capabilities are becoming increasingly decisive, Blu Vigilanza has developed an operational model that successfully combines cutting-edge technology with a strong local presence. Founded in 2001 in Fasano, the company now operates across almost the entire Apulia region and has established itself as a trusted partner in protecting homes, commercial activities, and businesses. From an initial structure of just five operators holding a municipal license, Blu Vigilanza has grown into an organization employing approximately 100 highly specialized professionals, supported by a regional license that enables extensive coverage throughout Apulia. This growth has been driven by continuous investment in training, organizational development, and advanced technological systems. CEO Tommaso Vito Santoro discusses the company’s evolution.

By Roberta Imbimbo

Mr. Santoro, how has the private security sector evolved in recent years?

Today, private security can no longer rely solely on physical presence or intervention after an alarm has been triggered. The industry has undergone a profound transformation over the years. Prevention, analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage information in real time have become the key factors. This is why Blu Vigilanza has developed an integrated model in which the operations center serves as the heart of the entire security system.

What role has technology played in this transformation?

Technology has been fundamental. We have invested in next-generation alarm systems, integrated digital platforms, video verification solutions, and remote monitoring technologies that allow us to supervise all connected security systems continuously. This approach enables us to verify every alert before dispatching an operational response, significantly reducing false alarms while increasing the effectiveness of field operations.

How does remote monitoring work in practice?

Our operations center monitors all connected systems in real time. Every anomaly is immediately analyzed and verified by our operators, who assess the situation and promptly coordinate our licensed security officers deployed throughout the territory. This enables faster, more targeted, and better-organized interventions.

In such an advanced system, how important is the human factor?

It remains essential. Technology is a powerful tool, but without highly qualified professionals it cannot deliver its full potential. For this reason, we have invested not only in technological innovation but also in expanding our workforce and providing continuous professional training. Today, we rely on approximately 100 specialized professionals who are fully trained both in operational management and in the use of the most advanced security technologies.

What distinguishes Blu Vigilanza from other operators in the industry?

Our main strength lies in the seamless integration of technology, our operations center, and our territorial presence. We do not simply receive an alarm signal—we analyze the event, verify it, and immediately coordinate the intervention of our patrol units. This integrated model significantly improves operational efficiency while substantially reducing response times.

What is your vision of the future of private security?

We believe that modern security must become increasingly intelligent, preventive, and interconnected. Our objective is to continue developing a system in which technological innovation and human expertise work together as a fully integrated solution. Today, private security is no longer just an operational service—it has become a strategic component in protecting communities, businesses, and individuals.

With an increasingly sophisticated organizational structure and a strong commitment to innovation, Blu Vigilanza has established itself as one of the most dynamic private security companies in Southern Italy, embodying the profound transformation that is reshaping the way businesses and citizens approach safety and security.
